I had the Karahi lamb. It was the best Indian/Pakistani dish that I've ever had in my life. The owner's son (Raj who is also the head chef) welcomed me into his restaurant the same way you would welcome a guest into your home. I asked a question about the lamb. He offered to cook me something special and boy was it special. He told me it's what they would eat. Out of this world. Add in the ambience of the jazz music setting the mood and you're in for a real world class treat that you won't soon forget. I wish I could give them 6 stars. This was the meal of a lifetime with a proprietor chef who understands Michelin star service. If you are ever in the area in search of something delightful, run, don't walk to his restaurant.
I devoured my meal and forgot to take pictures. Trust me it's worth the visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ben J.Brighton, United Kingdom168897714 Jun 2015
Recommended by a friend. This place offers authentic tasty Indian food, with a jazzy chilled out vibe.
I never really thought Indian food and Jazz went together, but actually it was really refreshing to go somewhere like this.
I'm assuming the owner served us. He was really informative on the dishes, my friend is a vegan so we had to be careful with what we were eating. He was very personal too. Asked us how we were, if we were local, if we had tried certain dishes etc. He even threw a couple of dishes in on the house!
The food was really tasty. Normally leaving a Indian restaurant, I feel bloated and full. But I was extremely content despite eating lots!
A worth while visit if your in the local area!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Seth D.Valley Stream, United States01172 Sept 2018
Amazing food, the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is so chill. We started with Tandori Wings, had lamb, chicken tikala plus some other items recommended by the owner Raj. Writing this review after we ate, forgot to post pics. We all highly recommend.

For the first time in my life I've seen jazz-style indian restaurant.... Red&black deco with some pictures of jazzmans on the walls makes an atmosphere which you cannot find in any other indian restaurant.
Service really friendly and food delicious for a decent price.
Highly recommend as a (I would say) our little "pearl" among all the places in these area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patty V.Anaheim, United States794012 Aug 2017
This a a very late review but nonetheless, a very satisfied one. It was our first night in London and Raj was a wonderful host. He made a special dish for the teenager in our party and it was amazing and delicious! Wonderful family atmosphere - as Raj niece and mom were there at the restaurant. Alittle off the beaten path, but wonderful food, delightful owner and peaceful atmosphere!!

Two words. Lamb Phaal. I was phucking crapping flaming bricks after this trip to the JAZZ Sitara. But let's take it back to the beginnings of this love affair.
The name itself rendered me slightly skeptical, passing by this place on my way home...but one rainy evening the housemates and I decided to order some take away. The naan was amazing, along with all the josh rogan, tikki masala, and even some run of the mill vindaloo that I've never strayed away from since the days of living in norcal. Delivery was fast, and the complimentary papadoms/chutney were delicious.
As mentioned earlier, the only time I've actually sat-in and dined here was a night to remember. I was pleasantly surprised by the fusion of jazz and...sitara (appropriate name for the restaurant...). Although the constant need to yell at the top of your lungs to your friends across the table reminded me of trying to communicate in a club, the food was again awesome. We also got complimentary drinks at the end our meal because we managed to finish the Lamb Phaal, although I had to step outside a few times and wipe all the meat sweats off my face...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Champagne B.Scottsdale, United States33701210 Aug 2016
Some of the best Indian food I've had. I was vising London and stayed in Archway for a week and I ate here twice.

Excellent actually stellar food/cuisine and more than accommodating atmosphere. We came in late and were treated to a full menu. Kudos

So friendly, and the service is fantastic. Totally family friendly. We brought in our 18 month old, and they gave him a toy to keep, and interacted with both kids even when they were noisy. They gave us extra papadam because they could see how much our son liked it. Our server ran to the convenience store down the street to get my daughter a lemonade because they had run out. Great for families, and the food is good too.

We told the owner what we were looking for and he just designed an entire multi course meal for us with different types of foods and spice levels. Recommended a wine that was great. Really amazing tasty food. Took great care of us. Highly recommend.
