Awful customer service. Avoid. 'Manager' Esther also has poor customer service skills and impossible to contact customer services. I was told the incorrect price for a package and then was told that I had to pay 2.5 times more for the same price. Manager told me her colleague had read the wrong price and did not make any attempt to rectify this.
The Bishopsgate Clinic is also really dirty - mice in the toilet. Avoid.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anne G.London, United Kingdom0319 Aug 2013First to Review
I bought a Groupon voucher for this salon on the premise that it would cover a Brazilian. Both the advert and my voucher made a point of saying 'including Brazilian' repeatedly. However, when I arrived at the salon for my consultation I was told that 'A Brazilian here isn't like a Brazilian at other places - it's just high bikini.' When I pointed out that that isn't a Brazilian, that's a high bikini and they shouldn't be advertising it as such, they said well we don't offer Brazilian to Groupon customers.
I pointed out that it was advertised on both the voucher and their Groupon advert, but they refused to uphold this. Completely false advertising - I bought the voucher and took time out of my working day to go down there for the appointment, only be told that in fact I wasn't entitled to what I'd been promised.

In brief: STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!
After purchasing an offer of six sessions at what seemed to be initially a very good price for what I was promised ("at least 80% of the hair will be permanently removed, nothing else to worry about"), I got a nightmare experience of a skin infection that led to skin scaring that might be permanent, and the hair is growing back only three months after the last treatment!
The skin infection was not identified by the beautician despite my initial concerns - probably due to lack of training, who continued with the IPL treatment which caused the infection to spread!
The clinic has shown no interest and has taken no responsibility for the damage they have caused! Total lack of professionalism. Even one star is generous.
I am currently seeking legal advice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Dimitri
Thank you for your email.
I would like to assure you that laser has most certainly not caused this infection. Also The New York Laser Clinic have not been negligent during any of your treatments.
Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing , blockage of the follicle , or shaving . In most cases of folliculitis , the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus -LRB- staph -RRB- . This is almost certainly folliculitis, a relatively minor staph infection of the hair follicle. Shaving makes it worse .
Causes
A diagnosis is primarily based on how the skin looks . Lab tests may show which bacteria or fungus is causing the infection .
Tests & diagnosis
Folliculitis usually responds well to treatment , but may come back . This condition is called folliculitis -- it is very common and there are many treatment options available.
Prognosis
To prevent further damage to the hair follicles and infection : Reduce friction from clothing. Avoid shaving the area if possible if shaving is necessary , use a clean , new razor blade or an electric razor each time. Keep the area clean. Avoid contaminated clothing and wash clothes.
I would still strongly recommend seeking further medical attention and please do keep me updated with the progress of your skin.
I would also like to invite you in for a follow up assessment 4 weeks after you have consulted your GP.
If you wish to pursue further legal action, that of course is your decision.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions or concerns.
Kind Regards
