My experience here was below-par for Strada. The bruschetta was reasonable, and the tiramisu moist, but the main act, the pizza, somewhat stolid. And the service was a little slower than I would have liked, despite the restaurant only being half full.

But a few things saved it from meh-dom. The first was the price of the fixed menu I had: £13.50 for three courses ain't bad at all, considering that pizza usually sets you back £10. The second was the reasonable quality of the bruschetta and tiramisu. And the third was the complimentary limoncello at the end. Sure, it's far from Italy's finest drink, but it was still appreciated.

Without doubt, Strada can do better than this, so hopefully things will improve at future visits. For now though, Valentina Putney is probably my pick of Putney's pizzerias.

Want a little more variety from Pizza express? This isn't a bad place to go but food is definitely a hit or a miss. I quite like the chicken with mushrooms and the bread with pesto and tomato sauce. The vegetarian penne is really bland - I had to salt it a couple of times... and I hardly ever salt my food at restaurants.

It is what it is - I think I'll go for the pizza next time.

Pleasantly surprised by Strada at Putney. We went along as we had a 30% off voucher.

It was my first time visiting the Strada chain, and the menu was suitably Italian. As were the flirtacious wait staff... (I know I didn't pronounce Saltimbocca Maiele correctly, buddy)

The flatbreads are delicious - the garlic and rosemary in particular I would like to see turned into a Pringles flavour - but it was super-salty, so if that's not your thing, stick with the tomato pesto bread.

My pork was served with mash potato and green beans, and the whole thing was covered in a sage butter - YUM.

In terms Italian restaurant chains, this place was ten times better than Pizza Express.

Someone had left buy one get one free Strada vouchers on my desk.

They expired on the 28th. It was the 22nd.

I had to use them. Not using them would be a crime against frugality. And frugality (plus pizza) is my middle name.

So - on what was the hottest day of the year (sure to be beaten, but hey) myself and Mrs VonTurbo headed down to Strada to eat pizza and drink wine at a significant discount - Hooray!

First up - Strada has outdoor seating - which is a massive bonus on hot days. I ALWAYS feels pangs of jealousy when waling past people sitting outside eating - they look so happy and continental and cool. I want in on their happiness. I want their al fresco joy. So, with Strada I get it. Brilliant.

So - Strada may be one of those 'middle class McDonalds' type places - but I don't really care about that - I like pizza. And I like big, good pizza. Strada has it. You may always know what you're getting, but that's not a problem when it's really quite nice.

Let's be fair - I probably wouldn't be too pleased paying full price here. It's a little too much for what you get. But - it's a chain pizza place. Finding a discount isn't hard. And with one - awesome value. Awesome pizza.

Find them vouchers. Eat them pizza.

This is a good branch of Strada. The food is really good, nice light Italian style cuisine. The service was prompt and there is a nice atmosphere here too. What stood out for me about this particular branch was the knowledge the staff had. My friend was unsure about which pudding to have and asked a member of the staff for their suggestion; they were able to give a really good description of the qualities each one held and which they preferred. Needless to say my friend enjoyed her pudding alot and was pleased with the staffs suggestion. It was pleasant to see staff that knew their stuff than have to scurry off and ask someone else. A good restaurant

Great example of the chain Strada, warm friendly and efficient service with reliably consistent food. The prawns in garlic are amazing and I'd recommend the Rossa pizza in a heart beat.

My family enjoys a lot the Italian cuisine, so I am also a pretty big fan . We went once in Strada (we love trying different Italian restaurants) and guess what? We liked it. Or at least what we've purchased. My dinner was pasta so I can only highly recommend it. It was with mushrooms and cheese and was delicious.

Pretty nice and cosy place. Perfect to have a business dinner or just come here with the loved ones and spend some quality time. The food is excellent as well as the service, staff are always friendly and welcoming. There's a wide selection of dishes and drinks on a reasonable price in the menu. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the decoration is decent. Recommended!

We don't go to Italian restaurants often, but when we want to go, this is the place! We love their Pomorodo's spaghetti. I cannot skip recommending their desserts as well. I hadn't heard of Pannacotta before, but what is sure is I will never forget it, just amazing!
