Stade de France

We really enjoyed this stadium! The steps aren't as steep as most stadiums, which is a big help when there are a lot of people in the venue. The acoustics were amazing, and there were plenty of staff to assist concert attendees. Security/ Police were very visible and appreciated, with 75,000 attendees. Walking out of the stadium was very easy, because there was great lighting on the street and a lot of police controlling traffic.

Stade and deliver... your money or your life.

Coming here (hopefully) won't cost you your life, but it will cost plenty of money, that's for sure.

One of the greatest stadiums in the world and one of my favourites. It's hard for me to say that because I'm not a fan of the French team by any stretch of the imagination. It helps that the cash-rich obnoxious PSG do not play here, instead playing next to all the girls at the south end of the Bois De Boulogne. Although if they were such a big team why wouldn't they play here at this monolith?

So I'll never be a fan of the France team, but it's an amazing Stadium and really has become an icon in the poor part of Northern Paris. I came here soon after it was built and I'll always remember it and I can't wait till my next visit.

Stade de France is one of the most bare-bones stadiums I have ever been to  without any food concessions to speak of along with a confusing layout.

My husband and I went here for a rugby match. I was just shocked at how different stadium experiences are in France versus in the United States. Because the metro was delayed, we arrived about 10 minutes into the match. (The metro is convenient, though!) There was no one milling about and there was no one on line anywhere - everyone was seated promptly. We basically passed no one going to our seat.

There are no food and drink options available while we were there. Maybe Covid precautions stopped them, but even walking around there were only one or two closed places where you could even sell food or drink. This is really just a stadium with seats.

Honestly, I thought the stadium was built in the 1960s because it is so desolate. I was shocked that it was built in the mid-90s. Of course, there are no cupholders because there are no drinks stands anywhere! Everyone basically keeps their seat during the halftime portion of the match, so effectively you were just sitting down in a cramped seat for an hour and a half.

Came to Stade de France to see DEPECHE MODE. The show was amazing. The venue, not so much

Let's start with the bathrooms which are absolutely disgusting. We stopped by as we entered the venue & it was filthy. And there was NO soap - how can you start an event with 83,000 people coming in & not have checked the state of your restrooms?

There are also NO vegetarian options besides popcorn. Don't think you're eating dinner here. We had planned ahead & scarfed down some delicious fries outside the stadium & lucky we did because we would have starved otherwise.

Our section was in full on sun for the majority of the show - it gets dark much later then it does in the US and the sun was not only blinding but brutally hot. Plan ahead - hats, umbrellas (which were permitted), sunglasses, sunblock - bring it

They allow smoking which is fine but just a point to note - the US and especially CA has its fair share of pot; here in Paris, we had tobacco.

Also a good point of note - Sections S7, all of T and U have no sun & would be my pick for next time. I also liked the abundance of armed police - made us feel very safe

Super easy to get to and leaving was also extremely easy - the station guards ended up opening the gates since the crowds were too large to process individual fare tickets

Would I come back here? Maybe. Would depend on the artist and where my potential seat would be

The Stade De France is the largest football stadium in France, with a capacity of just over 81,000, which is nearly 25,000 more seats than the second largest stadium in France, the Stade Velodrome.

The Stade de France is one of two major football stadiums in Paris, this being home to the french rugby and football team, it gained a lot of fame recently during Euro 2016, where the Stade de France hosted the opening game and the final of the tournament, which saw heartbreak for France, being defeated in added time by Portugal 1-0.

The stadium does seem quite new being built in 1995 and being opened in 1998, but on the inside, going into the ground and the back enterences, it just seems really old, and that seems to be the case with the lift as well.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great stadium but it saw everything go to shambals on my recent visit, where I hoped to get a stadium tour.

I had already prebooked tickets, arriving 1 hour and 20 minutes early, I asked if I could come in and look around, only to be told rather rudely my tour was at 2pm and to be made fun of, and just made to wait about which was a shame.

Eventually, when I come back I got in the stadium quite quickly, but then the layout to find the tour and queue up for my tickets was confusing and it did take a while too, and after that there were no clear instructions on where to wait for my tour to begin, as there were also another group taking part at this time, on a french tour.

During the summer holidays, there are 2 tours in english per day at 11pm and 2am.

Sadly everything in the stadium seemed basic, whether it be the enterences, the store, or even the backstreets and what I saw on my tour as well, even seeing jerseys from other nations and other players which had nothing to do with the stadium.

My tour guide was nice enough, but didn't speak fluent english so it was difficult to ask questions, she also seemed to have forgotten about me, sending me down in the lift on my own a few times, not knowing where I am, she seemed really quiet and in such a large tour group, it was so hard to see or hear, or simply do everything. I feel upset how they overbook the tours and only make 2 a day, so it isn't an enjoyable experience and this is something that needs to be looked at.

This is a nice stadium but the tour was honestly, even as a football lover, boring and had no relevance, and I even had to wait 10 minutes for someone to open the special enterence to get me out of the ground, just as the rain was starting which was annoying and shows a lack of preperation, I don't think I got anything out of the tour despite paying 15 euros, with facts muddled up and most of the time, it just seemed silent, and the tour guide didn't have much to show or say, and just seemed to be going as slow as she could to make the tour last the whole hour and half.

Due to problems here with the staff and the tour, I am really devastated to have to give this stadium a single one star, after being wowed recently by the stadium in the European Championship 2016, which was the lead stadium, home of the final between France and Portugal, and also the opening game, with that fantastic ceremony.

I purchased an online ticket for a tour of the stadium and when I showed up the asked me for my vaccine card I gave it to them and I was told that I had to go get a test because my vaccine card could be fake. The staff was very rude and insensitive. I was really disappointed and I was denied a refund. I took an hour Uber to go there. Don't waste your time going to that place.

Very large with a huge open sky dome, this is so cool ! I couldn't understand a word the security ppl said but they were nice enough very different than the states for example you could bring in a few beers from outside but they took my Tabasco sauce & tossed it lol the menu consisted of baguette with meat and cheese, hot dog with melted cheese, pretzle, Heineken, 1664 beer, Evian water, rose wine, and champagne lol they love their champagne & so do I !!

The bathrooms are not vey clean no paper covers for the toilet & no paper towels or air dryer, I seen so many men using a urinal outside it was quite different than in the US I think it would have been considered indecent exposure but hey I'm in another country and things are quite different.

Overall I liked the stadium experience a lot less security than say Cardinals stadium I was only asked to see my ticket once. It seats 80,000 people which is impressive !

N France traffics was nuts ! I've never seen anything like it before, for those of us in the states think California highway x2 with little tiny cars all trying to shove their way through

Our cab driver was great make sure you call G47 for a cab otherwise you have to take the metro

The metro from near Four Seasons V hotel to the stadium took 60-90 minutes. Return trip took an 1hr by car. Lots of heavy traffic for euro 2016 finals.

Great stadium, food & drinks, and all around feel. Heavy security. Bathroom needs improvement.

The nearest metro is saint denis porte de france and la plaine stade de france.

The Stade de France was the venue for the Beyoncé and Jay-Z On the Run Tour (docu-movie coming soon to HBO!) and we were privileged enough to make to the finale.

The stadium is massive (seating for 80,000 for football matches and 75,000 for concerts) but so navigable that it's a non-issue. The acoustics in our seats were excellent, and we were able to see everything. The staff we encountered were polite and helpful, and plenty of facilities were available both inside and outside of the stadium gates--food, restrooms, and shopping.

Naturally, Beyoncé and Jay-z put on a powerhouse performance, which may be the reason our time in the Stade was so positive--but either way, it is a first-class venue!

Just returned from France v England 6 nations match and this is not written as sour grapes!! But an honest account of our experience!

Initially we arrived by metro to the stade de france station but we then had to walk nearly a mile to the ground. On route there were absoloutely no bars or beer tents leading up to the stadium and the atmosphere was no where near like Twickenham, Murryfield or any of the other 6 nation venues pre kick off! When we arrived onto the concourse, having passed through security; and they were only interested if you had cans of beer on you, we approached one of the catering vans. We were gobsmacked that the price was 9€ for a half litre beer. 7€ got the liquid and €2 for the plastic beaker. Talk about con artists, and to cap it all off we then found it was all non alcoholic. Unbelievable!!
Leaving the stadium was another nightmare. The stadium is served by two or three metro terminals and all were jammed solid for at least 1 to 1 1/2 hours after the match. We then managed to find a bar about a mile in the opposite direction in a rather down beat area, and to be fair in an area you wouldn't hang about in for too long. The usual gangs of young lads in black puffa jackets and trainers on street corners!! In the end we got fed up of waiting in queues and we eventually flagged a taxi back to our hotel in Clichy at 20€.

Not the greatest infrastructure and location for a world class stadium! They seriously need to sort out the transport back into Paris and stop ripping off customers inside!
