This delightful restaurant has a classic, though casual vibe. The service is efficient and personal. We had pesto and bolognese pastas and ordered a daily-special margarita pizza with prosciutto. All were classic and delicious. I had a perfect decaf cappuccino to finish.

Solid Italian fare with friendly service--perfetto!

Stopped in here for a quick dinner. Prices are reasonable and food is decent. The owner/manager is definitely not the friendliest of people, but it didn't ruin our dinner. Had a soup, salad and bolognese. A solid meal.

      Stay away
Our waiter, Carlo, was wonderful, and the food was ok, but the owner/manager WAS THE RUDEST MAN ON THE PLANET. We were enjoying our meal when he came over to our table, reached across us and started dumping olive oil on my food. I cannot eat olive oil for medical reasons, and I asked as politely as possible for a new plate. He became extremely irritated and started getting defensive and lied and said that he asked me and I had said yes, which I had not. He made a big deal about taking the food that he had ruined off the bill when I asked him, and was very obviously cussing about me In Italian.

They did not accept us even thought they closed in 40 mins would not recommend.
I called the restaurant and asked if I could save a table and the guy told me maybe we'll be open maybe not.

Food was incredible! The owner was very sweet and helpful as we only spoke english. It was authentic Italian. We are here in beginning/mid July and we got seated right away and the service was fast and diffidently one to recommend!

A lively local spot steps from the hotel we were staying at. This place was rated high on Yelp (even with the non-Elites) so figured I'd give it a shot. Glad I did...

Each night I passed by and noticed the crowds. People were chatty and happy, windows and outdoor seating were always open and buzzing. It drew quite a crowd. I thought they were just tourists like me but turns out, no. It is indeed a neighborhood gem.

So this was a hit for our London dining experience. We've had quite a few misses so this was a very pleasant surprise. The menu looks straight out of Little Italy (NYC version). The service sadly was not excellent but that's because they were fully packed and busy as all heck so I deducted for that. The food more than made up for it ... did not disappoint!! Everything was delicious. But it did take a while to serve us and I don't know why they served the appetizers at the same time as our entrees. There was barely a space left on the table after our wine and sodas.

Must try: prosciutto and melon appetizer as well as the avocado, tomato, and fresh mozzarella. Both were outstanding. Generous portions of prosciutto layered on top of sliced melon. The melon was super sweet! Then the avocado was a surprise element to the fresh mozzarella and tomato dish. We don't have it that way in the USA. But it works here. That fresh mozzarella was almost a pillow-y burrata like texture (same family) so it was moist and folded - very fresh. Yummy in my tummy.

The entrees were really good - funny thing, so apparently they use quite a bit of vodka in their penne with vodka sauce. The waiter seemed concerned and noted that to me when he noticed I ordered it for my kid. Ha Ha (Good call and I didn't mind...it cooks off, right?!) She'll sleep well then I said.

The linguine with clams were great, clams were a tad on the small side. But the dish was simple and delicious - garlic and olive oil, very good olive oil I might add. My other kid ordered the Hawaiian pizza. No shortage of # of toppings on this, it was fully stacked. Loved it.

This place was super authentic and I was pleasantly surprised as we were in London...not known for their culinary hits. If I were to return to London, I would recommend this place for sure. I wish I had room to try the dessert but we were so stuffed after the entrees that we could not. Other nearby tables ordered it though and boy did it look good - and I don't even have that much of a sweet tooth. Delissimo!

An authentic take on Italian food. I loved this meal and so did our friends. Please come here with an empty stomach. Beware: they will charge you for little things like water, bread, olives, etc.

      The good:
      - fresh, authentic food
      - perfectly cooked
      - diverse selection
      - reasonably priced wine selection
      - friendly service
      - free WiFi
      - dessert/espresso after is a must
      - an authentic Italian ambiance

      The bad
      - be prepared to spend more than 100 pounds like ant good Italian place
      - the bread didn't taste as fresh as the rest of th email food

All in all, I'd love to go Back!

      Spaghetti with meatballs. Cooked perfectly
      Don't leave without dessert!

The food was very good but the manager was a complete jerk. Refused to speak to the women in our group, was curt and dismissive to them and his wait staff, really appalling. Did not accommodate simple requests ( they offer a 10% discount for take away, yet said they didn't do take away; and no it wasn't for leftovers). It's a shame because the food was very good, but we won't go back. We are in a lot of places that had food comparable but a much more enjoyable experience.

Lovely neighborhood gem and perfect for a warm Italian dish on a cold, rainy England night. We came by for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was packed beyond belief! We took this as a good sign and made a reservation for the next night. The general manager remembered us from the night before and game us a warm welcome.

We started off with bread and olives, followed by mussels and the caprese salad. For dinner, we both had the penne arrabiata which was cooked to perfection! Some reviews touch on the decor - honestly it didn't offend us at all and I found it to be a warm, inviting homely atmosphere. They use plastic menu placemats versus white table clothes but hey, we were looking for a good meal not frills and that's what we got! Come to dinner here - you won't be disappointed!

We ate dinner here today because it's just down the street from our hotel and it looked good. There was loud music playing and the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, but fortunately there were outdoor tables and the weather was conducive. The male servers were pleasant, but the female server was very perfunctory. Also, the food was just so-so (I ordered the Margherita pizza and my husband ordered the Funghi pizza [the pizzas were too small for two people, although generously-sized for just one person]).
