We were wandering the Marais a few weeks back on a rainy Monday evening trying to find a table anywhere and Le Marché happened to have one outside table available (most likely because there was a guy smoking like a chimney at the next table). Though we weren't expecting much as my wife and I had walked by it when we were lodging at a place off of the Rue de Turenne, we were mostly delighted with the food (can't say much for the service but it's a cafe in Paris so brusque borderline-absentee service is the norm).
One of us got a club sandwich which she wasn't a huge fan of (though to be fair I doubt many people order that) but otherwise the food was outstanding. The mussels in a light marinara sauce were as good as any I've ever had, the 'market' salad was chock full of meat, cheese and walnuts, the fries were crisp, salty and plentiful and the eggs with mayo were just fine.
All in all I really appreciate Le Marché for first having an open table and second for providing us with a great and reasonably priced meal when we had been in dire straits.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ian B.Sachse, United States10489717 Mar 2023
Delicious! Bread was incredible. I had duck confit, with potatoes and a nice salad. The sauce was perfect in consistency and flavor. The duck was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were nicely seasoned and just the right amount. Of course sitting on the patio and watching people enjoying the neighborhood was probably one of the best experiences I had in Paris. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop here for lunch...or dinner!

Amazing food and the restaurant is run immaculately. The owners are so kind and extremely funny + hardworking. The escargots are an ABSOLUTE must- we got two rounds. The mussels are also great. French onion soup and Caesar salad are perfect starters. I've been often iffy about French food but this restaurant helped convert me to a full Francophile foodie!!!!!

Been a little while, but just as good...it was a sunny day and pretty busy but we decided to sit inside so as not to fall foul of the smokers, plus there was loads of room with only 3 other tables occupied
I chose a salade auvergnate which was a serious bowl full and my partner had a ham omelette, with a light 50cl of rouge to wash it down
We talked to the owners' son and this time got the name of their cheese provider in Paris (Mas), as it is certainly one of the best Bleu d'Auvergne that I have ever tasted...they come from the same village
Good service and reasonable prices as everHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 011 Mar 2018Previous reviewWe have been here many times and hadn't realised till today that I have never given a review or check in
This is truly a great little place; full of "things" to look at all round the walls; great food; fun staff / owner; nice music. We have had many nice meals / snacks here over the years and never had a poor one. It is often quite busy with both an inside and outside, which given the unexpectedly nice weather yesterday, 17 degrees & no rain despite the forecast, was quite full
We were wandering around the Marais, with a sort of intention of having lunch here, which in the end we did. My partner had a mixed omelette, I had the cheese platter and a bowl of chips; a 50cl of Fitou; a shared mi-cuit and a double espresso
All good but the glasses showed some debris well before the bottom - no question, the owner just brought out the bottle and sorted that out immediately
But the nice thing is the welcome you get - a lovely-smiling waitress, the chatty, friendly owner. We discussed the cheese platter - all from his little village in Auvergne. Stand out was the bleu d'auvergne - unbelievably good, perfectly kept; probably one of the best bleus of any description that I have ever had...and that includes my favourite, Stilton. He promised to let me know the name of a little shop here in Paris where you can buy the same. It's a must visit and I will update the review once I've checked it out
Now the sad news - if you go, on the right far wall you will see a set of shelves with a collection of toy Citroen camionnettes....he used to have, for publicity purposes, such a vehicle outside, a real one...we asked him where it was...someone stole it while it was being serviced! Shame on you...if you know where it is, then call him up and let them know - these are nice people!

Our family ate here 11 years ago and we could not forget the incredible chocolate fondant, so much so that on our recent trip to Paris made the trip across town to eat here again. Great place in the Marais. Our table had the onion soup, steak with frites, lamb, moules and of course we finished it off with the chocolate fondant.

Nice and traditional restaurant in this delightful little square. It's one of several and thrives on a mixture of locals and tourists - it's in the touristy part of the Marais.
We had vegetable soup to start, I had a vegetarian lasagne, and my friend had the Veal escalope with morel mushroom sauce, puréed potatoes. The soup was lovely, with cheese and croutons with wonderful crusty bread.
My lasagne was all right (and I realise being veggie in a traditional French restaurant is asking a lot) but my friend's dish was rather more successful. The only let-down was the House wine, which was one of those slightly uninteresting whites.
The bill came to €65, which is not bad for the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Noel K.Plymouth Township, United States12413214329 Aug 2018
Ran into this place at 3pm soaking wet from rain. Most places stopped serving and this friendly place offered us food at this rare time. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, which had an egg and many cheeses and loved it. My pickiest water ordered a children's burger and loved it. My other daughter had the children's chicken (grilled) and enjoyed it. I only had the coffee, but it was very good. Our waiter didn't speak much English and he was over accommodating. Very nice server.

Nice little restaurant situated on a beautiful square. Their T-bone steak with mushroom sauce was delicious and the strawberry soup as a dessert was exquisite!
Go there with friends for a casual diner with good food and service with smile!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Allison L.Manhattan, New York, United States293 Oct 2015
Great restaurant at Place Saint Catherine! The food is delicious and well portioned. There's a daily prix fix menu in addition to the regular menu. Both are reasonably price. Service is also friendly and efficient for a busy restaurant (especially if you make eye contact with the wait staff if you need something).
We went there twice in one week! First time, we had a fois gras pate, cheese and meat plate, duck breast, veal escalope, and chocolate cake. Second time, we ordered from the prix fix menu and had saumon marine, tandoori chicken, dorado, and strawberry panna cotta.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
