What's not to love about giant sausages?! Rhetorical question, but I'm not the hugest fan of English mustard, which is a lot stronger than I'd anticipated. The German dog with the works here was just okay, how somehow been expecting better. Not my favorite stop at Borough Market. Props for having an expanded condiment bar with options like curry ketchup.

Bratwurst and sauerkraut for the win. We always eat one or these when we drop by borough market! A must try!!

Not sure about the "deli" bit, but this place is definitely stuffed with German food from top to bottom. Mainly mass produced ready meals, mind. I may be tempted to return for some "mittelscharf" mustard or curry flavoured ketchup, about the only flavours I can't find elsewhere.
Reminds me of the 80's when there was a massive German food store in Knightsbridge where all the homesick aupairs would stock up on rye bread ... luckily London has moved on and you can now get great bread in bakeries all across town - and on Borough Market!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3 Dec 2015
I had a friend mention Mozartkugel, a pistachio and hazelnut dessert that she had while in Vienna. The way she described it sounded amazing so I decided to see if I could find said dessert in London. Google told me that the German Deli near the Borough Market carried Mozartkugel and sure enough - they do! And Mozartkugel is delicious, by the way.
While I did come here specifically for Mozartkugel I was really impressed with the amount of German products; a few I recognized while in Germany a few weeks ago.
Because I find myself in the Borough Market every few weeks I'm sure I'll be back to check out the German Deli to not only pick up more Mozartkugel but to pick up a few other products from here as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11521419815 Aug 2017
This was the first place I ate at at Borough Market. I started this review a year ago but didn't finish it and I JUST got back from London (8/14/2017) and went their again and it was just as good as it was before. You get a lovey helping of sausage and toasted but on the grill. The price is steep but the taste justifies it. This baby will easily fill you up.

I've been to this place a few times now, it's great if you're craving stuff you don't usually get outside of Germany. Unfortunately it's quite pricey, import charges and such I assume.
Apart from sweets and condiments, they also have a bakery section and fresh sausages and meats from Germany. I especially go back for my favourite Grafschafter Goldsaft and Birnenschmaus, best syrupy deliciousness! I'll definitely be back for my favourite essentials!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 23 Jul 2015
Really know these folk from their presence on Whitecross Street market, selling adequate bratwurst and a small selection of German products ( ketchup, pickles, snacks, etc.) . Alles in ordunung- exactly what you'd expect/hope for from a sausage in a bun, and at a sensible price (£4).

A week before Easter I was in Borough Market with some friends.
The only reason I stopped and went inside was because this shop had little sachets of egg dye in the window. I've been looking for egg dye everywhere and couldn't find any. This place had it all!
They have great german products, from fresh food -meat, bread, sandwiches - to my childhood candy and sweets -Milka chocolate, Knoppers, Ritter Sport, Merci, Ferrero etc - to pickles, Knorr and Maggi products, tinned goods, jams etc - Basically it's kinda like a tiny german Tescos.
It has everything.
Staff super friendly and compared to other places, the prices are very reasonable.
Definitely going back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason E.London, United Kingdom9545456522 Dec 2009First to Review
If you want somewhere to sit down and have a snack and can't bear the bustle of Borough Market any more, or you fancy some saurkraut on a hotdog or would like a frankfurter from Frankfurt then this place is next to the Market Porter and you should give it a try. As well as German speciality foods they also sell hotdogs with German sausage, saurkraut and mustard in them.
The kasewurst should be given a go if you are worried your waistline isn't expanding fast enough and molten cheese in a sausage has to be done just for the experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maro T.London, United Kingdom15752513 Sept 2016
