With the prevalence of supermarkets (there's a Sainsbury's Local a few doors down and largish Co-op over the road) bringing in cheap and sometimes poor quality meat it is fantastic to see a small independent and thriving local butchers. A smorgasbord of deep red flesh lies on display with all different kinds of choice cuts available for your picking. Doing a rip-roaring trade at Christmas time too.

To boost the footfall through the shop there's a take-away sandwich shop offering fillings of the kind you could expect from a butchers. There a selection of other snacks and drinks too. A jolly wee shop and massive asset to the community.
