Been in France for a week. Easily the worst meal. The steak was like cutting through a rock. An English gent next to me demanded they take his steak off the bill. Was really horrible. If it was just me I would not leave this review but they are serving substandard food for 30 euros and the waiter knew it. The coffee was good. That's about it. Avoid this place. Tourist trap.

I thought the service was great here. The staff was friendly. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. Many great local choices. ...and a great selection of wine and spirits. The food was really good. They had a very cool ambiance. Would go again.

I ate here years ago, but am catching up on posting the review now.
The food was not great here, though it was all edible.
The lamb was overdone.
The cod back was blah -- boring.
The cuttlefish was too chewy.
There is better food to be had in Montpellier.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 21 Jun 2018
We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Café des Arts while in Montpelier. It's right in the middle of everything with great opportunities for people watching. They were slammed, but managed to find us a table for 10. The service was great though at times slow due to their not having enough servers. They offer a wide variety of options from pizza to burgers to steaks. The kids loved the frozen non alcoholic pina coladas and adults enjoyed a great wine list. The servers were so kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend if you are in Montpelier!
